We’re here to break the cycle. Our mission is to empower young New Yorkers to understand their mental health, know their rights, and recognize the powerful link between trauma and criminalization. Too often, unaddressed mental health challenges lead to over-policing and stereotyping, while punitive school policies and systemic biases push vulnerable youth deeper into a cycle of criminalization and victimization.
By destigmatizing mental health and building awareness through programs and partnerships with schools, we help youth access support instead of stigma, and treatment instead of punishment. We’re working to replace zero-tolerance policies with zero-judgment support, creating spaces where young people can speak up, be heard, and become advocates for themselves and their communities.
Through resources, workshops, clubs, and community events, we connect young people with the tools they need to break free from this cycle. Together, we’re working to redefine justice, and create pathways to wellness, safety, and true empowerment for every young New Yorker.

EDUCATION VS INCARCERATION
The School to Prison Pipeline
It’s easy to see mental health and the criminal justice system as separate, unconnected topics. In truth, the two are intrinsically related – and it all begins in high school.
JUVENILE JUSTICE
Inadequate support for those disabilities in the criminal justice system. Disabled juveniles are over represented in the criminal justice system, and have high recidivism rates influenced by factors beyond their control.
Connecting young people with the tools they need to break free from this cycle.
Championing support instead of stigma, and treatment instead of punishment.
Recognizing the powerful link between trauma and criminalization.
Empowering young New Yorkers to understand their mental health.
